Our Guiding Vision
From the beginning, John Carter envisioned Dusky Goose as a pursuit of excellence—a commitment to crafting wines that stand the test of time. That spirit continues to guide everything we do, from farming to winemaking to hospitality.
We believe that small production and close attention to detail yield the most expressive wines. Every vintage is approached with the same care and curiosity as the first, with the goal of creating wines that feel grounded in Oregon, distinct in character, and compelling to revisit year after year.

Steady Hands
Dusky Goose wines are shaped by a small set of closely held vineyard sites and an uncompromising approach to winemaking. Head winemaker Andrew Imboden makes our Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with the depth, texture, and richness that define our style.
Founding winemaker Lynn Penner-Ash established that style with our first vintage in 2002. Careful vineyard selection and a disciplined barrel program have been central to our work ever since.
Andrew tastes through individual lots and evaluates each barrel before selecting the final blends. The wines reflect both the character of their vineyard sites and the conditions of each growing season. Made in small quantities, they offer generous fruit on release and the structure to develop with time in the cellar.
